The power of Social Networks

I've read many articles in which critics put down social sites like Myspace and Facebook, saying that those sites are for "people" that have nothing better to do with their lives. However I beg to differ, in this next example, this article show's the true purpose and power that one of these sites can have, in this case Facebook. read "Absolution"

Sites like Facebook serve the purpose that no matter where you are in the world, you can see what your friends, family members, fan pages are up to and they can see you as well. To future is now, social media is a medium in which one day we will all have to communicate through.

Just thought I'd like to share these thoughts with you.
